Accessibility Statement for LUV MADE

LUV MADE is committed to making its online presence accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to ensure that all users can access our content, navigate our services with ease, and use our platforms without barriers, regardless of their abilities or the technology they use.

Our Commitment
We are actively working to meet and maintain the accessibility standards outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We also strive to comply with the Equality Act 2010, which protects against discrimination based on disability in the UK. While the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 apply specifically to public organisations, we voluntarily align with their expectations as a commitment to inclusive design.

What We're Doing to Make This Accessible
We aim to create content and features that are clear, simple to use, and compatible with assistive technologies. We are continuously working to improve our accessibility and usability by:

  • Using semantic HTML5 for clearer page structure and better screen reader support

  • Adding descriptive alt text to images and avoiding using images to convey important text

  • Maintaining high colour contrast between text and backgrounds

  • Ensuring that all functionality is available using only a keyboard

  • Making sure link text is meaningful and clear, avoiding vague phrases like “click here”

  • Using ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) labels where appropriate

  • Providing clear and consistent headings for easy navigation

  • Designing layouts that are responsive across all screen sizes and devices

  • Ensuring all form fields are properly labelled and accessible

  • Providing video transcripts and captions when we publish audio or video content

  • Avoiding content that flashes rapidly or might trigger photosensitive seizures

  • Testing our content with assistive technologies such as NVDA, VoiceOver, and magnifiers

Ongoing Monitoring and Testing
We regularly carry out both manual and automated testing using tools like WAVE and Lighthouse. In addition, we test navigation using keyboard-only inputs and screen readers to simulate the experience of users with visual or motor impairments. We also periodically consult with accessibility professionals and users with disabilities to review how the experience can be improved.

Limitations and Known Issues
Some third-party integrations or older documents may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. While we do our best to minimise these cases, there may be some temporary limitations. When this occurs, we will always aim to provide an alternative format or solution upon request.
